Black-Led Organizations Coalition

Our Vision

To convene a roundtable of leadership and build deep relationships that authentically stir up healing within our community. When we sit at one table with shared purpose, we reduce duplication of efforts, strengthen collaboration, and maximize our collective impact through strategic, coordinated initiatives and funding.

Our Mission

To unite the Black community in Northern California to advance health, education, and economic equity and drive sustainable change. Through collaboration, healing, resource sharing, and shared learning, we strengthen our communities from within. We are committed to expanding opportunity while fostering unity and resilience that endures beyond any single program or funding cycle.

Our Work with NSIEDC

North State Inclusive Economic Development Coalition

As a member of the North State Inclusive Economic Development Collective, we are proud to be part of a regional effort led by diverse rural communities across Northern California. Together, we are building stronger partnerships, expanding economic opportunity, and making sure our communities have a voice in shaping the North State’s future.

We are committed to changing the narrative of the North State by highlighting the region’s growing diversity and making sure the experiences of communities of color are reflected in the data, decisions, and investments that shape our future. We know that broad regional statistics can hide important disparities, particularly for Black, Latino, Asian, Native, and multiracial residents.

What makes the Collective powerful is the range of community-rooted organizations at the table. Together, we bring expertise in health and human services, housing, employment, food systems, youth development, Tribal wellness, small business support, and community advocacy. We are connected to the day-to-day realities of the people we serve, which gives us a clear understanding of both the barriers facing our communities and the opportunities already emerging across the North State.

"What an uplifting article!! Thank you, merci beaucoup, mesi ampil (Haitian Creole “Thanks a lot”) for highlighting this phenomenal organization and their diligent crew! The work that they do is essential to members of Butte county, surrounding Counties and extended communities, too."
