Black Resiliency Project ("BRP," "we," "us," or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving communities in Northern California. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit blackrp.org (the "Site"), make a donation, sign up for our newsletter, or contact us.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information
We Collect Information you give us directly: Donations: Name, email address, mailing address, and payment information when you make a gift through our payment processor. Newsletter sign-up: Name and email address when you subscribe to our mailing list. Contact forms: Name, email address, and any information you include in your message. Event registration (if applicable): Name, email, and other details needed to register. Information collected automatically: Cookies and analytics: We use tools such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. This may include your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and time spent on the Site. We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or other sensitive identifiers through the Site.

We use the information we collect to: Process and acknowledge donations, and issue tax receipts Send our newsletter and communications about our programs, if you've opted in Respond to messages submitted through our contact form Understand how people use the Site so we can improve it Comply with legal, tax, and grant-reporting obligations Communicate about events, volunteer opportunities, or partnership requests you initiate We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for purposes beyond what's described here without your consent.
3. Donations and Payment
Processing Donations made through the Site are processed by a third-party payment processor (e.g., [insert processor name, such as Stripe, PayPal, or Donorbox]). We do not store your full credit card or bank account numbers on our own servers. Your payment information is subject to the privacy policy and security practices of that processor. We retain donor name, contact information, and gift history as needed for acknowledgment, tax receipting, grant compliance, and donor stewardship.
4. Newsletter and Email Communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send updates about our work, programs, and opportunities to get involved. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You may opt out at any time, and we will honor that request promptly. We do not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand Site traffic and usage patterns. This helps us improve navigation and content. We retain donor and contact information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described above, including tax, audit, and grant-compliance requirements, and in accordance with our internal records retention practices.

You may: Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you Request correction or deletion of your information, subject to our legal and tax record-keeping obligations Contact us with questions or concerns about how your information is used California Residents: Depending on our size and activities, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) may or may not apply to BRP as a nonprofit organization. Regardless, we do not sell personal information, and we're happy to honor reasonable requests to access or delete your data — contact us using the information below. 10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
